Minnamurra Rainforest Walk 2015

On a sunny, Winter’s morning, the Beachside Family set out to unwind in the tranquillity of the Minnamurra Rainforest walk.

We gathered at the visitors’ centre to start our walk together; with partners, friends and many of our Beachside kids and babies in tow. Armed with prams, baby carriers and picnic lunches, we set off up the track.

Listening to the calls of lyrebirds and the gurgling of creeks, our group of over 30 snaked our way up the mountain, starting off on some very timid inclines. By the time we reached half way, it was hard-going with the prams but our fierce and fabulous Beachside mums and dads dug deep and were rewarded with a beautiful view of a huge waterfall when they reached the top.

After a group photo opportunity and a little time to recover and enjoy our surroundings, we headed back down the mountain. We enjoyed a chat with fellow Beachsiders over a picnic lunch before heading home. It was a great way to get some sunshine, fresh air and get the whole family active over the weekend.
