Stir-Fry Beef with Chinese Broccoli

Ingredients
- 2 packets of slendia noodles, prepared to packet instructions
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 300g carrots, cut into batons
- 3 tbsp shallots, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 600g Chinese broccoli, chopped
Marinate
- ½ tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp Chinese cooking wine
- ¼ tbsp. corn starch
- pinch salt
- ¼ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 400g heart smart beef strips
Sauce
- 4 tbsp water
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 4 tsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Method
- Combine all ingredients of marinate and allow to sit for at least half an hour.
- In a wok over a high heat add half the vegetable oil and stir-fry the beef in batches, removing once just cooked.
- Add the Chinese broccoli to the boiling water of the noodles or sit in a bowl and cover with boiling water for about 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining vegetable oil and cook the carrots until bright then add the garlic and shallots and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add everything except the sauce and toss to mix. Take it off the heat, serve and top with combined sauce ingredients.
