I’ve Lost 17.3kgs In Only 3 Months
In late December 2014, I came to the harsh realisation that I was overweight. I was emotional, unhappy, tired and in denial. With a career ending injury of my wrist and 3 surgeries to attempt to fix it, I spent a great deal of time doing a whole heap of nothing. One morning I saw 84.9 kg’s on the scales, enough was enough!
My weight loss journey started as exactly that, a weight loss journey. What I didn’t realise was the massive lifestyle change I was about to embrace. I started with nutrition. I cut bad habits out and only fueled my body with what was good for it. I dropped a substantial amount of weight in the first month and even though I knew good nutrition was a big part of weight loss, I knew it wasn’t everything. I needed to start doing some sort of exercise. I’ve never been one to push myself to go for a walk or a ride on my own, I just think it’s boring. That’s when I knew the best option for me would be Personal Training. I had recently spoken with my Aunty about her Trainer and was absolutely gobsmacked by her progression and transformation. This of course was Kieran. Hey I know Kieran, I’ll give him a call next week. I’ve never looked back!
Kieran is a one of a kind trainer and I absolutely admire his approach to exercise, nutrition and lifestyle changes. I thought my injury was a set back but Kieran has guided me and shown me ways around it, showing me that in the world of Beachside Personal Trainers there is absolutely no reason why you need to use the word “can’t”, unless you want to do burpees of course.
Kieran has pushed me to places I didn’t know I could go and I truely mean it when I say I couldn’t have done it without him!
I am a changed woman thanks to this man. I now have a massive passion for fitness and there is nothing that can hold me back. I love the combination of sessions he has to offer and now enjoy going to Bootcamp along with my P.T sessions.
In just 3 months I have lost 17.3kgs over 50 cm’s off my measurements, decreased my body fat percentage, increased my lean muscle.
Being made Beachside’s Member of the Month for March has contributed massively to regaining my self confidence and getting back to my old self! I’ve smashed some goals and have made some new ones. All of which I know are possible with the help of Kieran.

Nothing Is Unachievable
Recently I lost my partner of 17 years without any warning to a heart attack. From that day on my life had changed and there was nothing I could do about it. I could have lay down and died as well but I knew that was not what Brett would have wanted. So I threw myself into exercise to cope and keep busy and will never look back.
I used to say they were making the clothes smaller instead of admitting that I was getting bigger. I used to wear Brett’s shirts which were 3xl and tights (no fitted clothes were allowed on my body). I started walking and after a while I started to feel good. Something in my mind clicked. I thought I also have to take control of my eating as well, but Brett used to do all the cooking. I wanted to change my life for the long term and didn’t want to diet. I have to admit I thought it would be hard on my own
After losing Brett I thought to myself I need to get out and meet people and get my life and confidence back. I wasn’t interested in going to a gym, but I wanted to meet people and have fun outside. I found Kieran’s, Bootcamp and Run Group. This was the turning point for me I realised that I could do whatever I put my mind to and I did.
Kieran gave me so much confidence that I started doing fun runs even though I’d never run before in my life. I never felt better. To me it isn’t about being fast or worried about coming last. It was just about finishing and the feeling you get. My biggest accomplishment was running a Half Marathon and yes, I did it in 2h 26mins. I have never felt prouder and I knew Brett would have been proud of me.
I have accomplished so much; I’m confident and have met some great friends along the way. There’s no stopping me now and I laugh and smile again and people comment on how I look. To me it was never about losing weight it was just about feeling good again but I noticed my clothes getting a bit looser. When I first started I weighed about 95kg and now I weigh 69.6kg. I wear fitted clothes, buy smaller sizes and love my body now.
When people believe in you, such as Kieran did in me, and you believe in yourself, nothing is unachievable. I could go on and on about how good I feel and how much I enjoy my training with Kieran but I don’t have the time but a very big THANK YOU Kieran. You were a big part to where I am now in my life. You believed in me.

In only 3 months I have lost over 14kg
Over the years, my New Year’s resolution has always been to loose weight and become fit and healthy. Each year I’d last a few weeks then give up. I’ve had 3 gym memberships which I have wasted so much money on as I went for the first few weeks then the novelty of it wore off and I was paying money every week for a gym I didn’t use. I’ve tried all sorts of diets, none that have worked and none that I’ve stuck to for more the 3 weeks. I was the type of person that would use every excuse for not exercising “I’m too tired”, “it’s too cold”, “it’s too hot”, “I’ll go tomorrow” etc. With food it would be “oh one day won’t hurt”, or “next week I’m starting a strict diet”… It never happened!
So every year my new year’s resolution never happened.
This year I said to myself “I’m going to make it happen”. So in January I started dieting and exercising and making it happen, but it wasn’t enough I didn’t have the motivation to keep going myself and I didn’t want to join another gym to waste my money on, so I decided to find a personal trainer.
As I was exploring the internet, I came across Beachside Personal Trainers and emailed Kieran. I took up the offer of a free trial, and just after 2 sessions I knew this was how I wanted to lose my weight and become healthy.
In only 3 months I have lost over 14kg. I will never waste my money on another gym membership again. I used to think that people that got up before the sun to exercise before work, or do a late workout after work were crazy and I would never have done it. Now I LOVE IT!
Since having Kieran and the Beachside team on my side I now have the motivation and the confidence to keep going and pursue my goals. I can’t thank Kieran and the team enough for all the support and motivation over the last few months.

As a Bonus I Have Abs and Look Fantastic!
After being challenged by my sisters to enter the Gold Coast Marathon I began to realise that if wanted to make it to the end I needed to train a little harder. I seemed to get stuck and hit the wall and just couldn’t get past the 5km mark. The event we were running in was a 10km run and with my lack of motivation and time quickly running out, I decided to give Kieran a call.
I wasn’t sure if I could get to where I needed to be in the short time we had but the results came unbelievably fast! We hadn’t been training long and I had already hit my goal of 10km running without stopping. I completed the 10km without even pushing and felt I could have kept going and should have entered the 21km event! I had at least doubled my fitness almost overnight.
As a mother of four I have never been this fit and motivated or felt this good before. I thought I’d have a break after the event and look forward to the Bridge To Brisbane but now I get irritable if I don’t get my run in… I think I’m addicted to the endorphins!
I am so happy I have achieved above and beyond my goals and expectations and on top of that as a bonus I dropped 6cm off my waist, got down to 23% body fat, and I now have abs and look fantastic.
I can’t wait for the Bridge to Brisbane and recommend anyone and everyone to give it a go. My sister and I will be there and I hope you will too!

I Feel Great After Every Session
Just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks for all you have done for me. I am really enjoying bootcamp and I feel great after every session we do and my fitness is improving greatly. I actually enjoy being sore the day after bootcamp and boxing – I think it makes me realise I am doing something good for my body.
I really appreciate the way you run your sessions – they are hard but fun. The thing I was worried about most when I joined up was the pre-conceived idea I had about trainers barking orders at participants – thanks for being patient with me during the sessions! I have dropped almost 9kg since I started bootcamp and feel really good about myself.
Just wanted to let you know I have bitten the bullet and signed up for my first 5km Fun Run – I think I’ll be able to run the whole distance and I am actually excited about it!! The other event I really want to do is a small taster triathlon! I feel great and can’t believe I’m doing all of this!
