I was incredibly stoked to get lots of lovely compliments about how I have bounced back into shape after the birth of our little girl. I was not sure whether to fess up and tell them that there was not much bouncing but a hell of a lot of push-ups/sit-ups and burpees!! ha ha

Anyway… I have gotten WAAAAAY more out of this than I ever anticipated. I am super impressed with your skills in motivating people and keeping people accountable and I am actually trying to use some of this in my own work as an OT!

So, thankyou so much for all your hard work. You are great at what you do and you definitely put in 150% to your work.

I Have So Much Energy Now

The idea of personal training came to me after a dress fitting for my sister’s wedding when my dress was a little tighter than I had planned.  I knew that I didn’t have the motivation to get myself moving on my own (I already had the treadmill sitting in the lounge – I was just lazy) and thought that if I invested in a Personal Trainer I would not only get up and do something but I would work out harder.

I was right, now I get myself up not just for Personal Training sessions but I have gone back to running 5-6km 4 times a week, along with dance and team sport I have so much energy, motivation and focus to actually do it!

My goal was to get down to that ever elusive number on the scales, but now it is more about measurements and fitting into pair of jeans but most importantly I need to be fit & healthy for my next adventure to the snow.  My mindset has definitely changed to a more positive one.  Exercise really does make you high!

Training with Kieran was always fun and different, I don’t think there was ever a session that was the same as one before.  It was great to have someone to push me without over doing it.  I always loved my sessions, thanks Kieran.

I Feel Comfortable To Be Back In My Togs Again

I have always been active by going rock climbing, abseiling, riding my bike etc however, I dislocated my shoulder twice in the last two years and I dislocated my thumb resulting in the need for surgery. Because of my shoulder injury and now my thumb injury I was unable to keep up my active lifestyle and began to enjoy comfort food and sitting on the couch watching movies to help with the pain. I began to notice that I was feeling unhappy within myself and did not like what I saw in the mirror. My mum was already training with Kieran and encouraged me to contact him to start working with him.

Since I have started to train with Kieran I have re-woken my energy levels and I love to get out and be active again. Kieran has helped me work out what my body can handle, and I have become stronger physically and mentally, instead of saying I can’t do this, I now get excited about my sessions with Kieran.

Now instead of coming home and sitting in front of the television, I like to take my dog for a walk or do something active. I even got up early for boot camp and the running group too! Importantly, Kieran has worked with me to recognise my pain barriers and how I can safely exercise so will achieve results without risking my safety and hurting myself.

I love how Kieran mixes up the training so you do not have to do the same boring thing that you would do at the gym every time. I also like how Kieran uses what is around as part of the training session, as it can teach you what you can do on your own.

I have learnt if I put my mind to it I can do anything. I feel great, I love thinking of new fun outdoor things I can do with my loved ones, I am starting to get back into rock climbing again and have started to take up surfing now that I’ve lost weight and feel comfortable to be back in my togs again.

Get In Shape For My Wedding

I have always been fairly fit, but I just needed that extra push and motivation to get my going harder with my training and diet to get in shape for my wedding

Since Personal Training I have toned up, lost weight and feel fitter than I have been before. I’m more motivated to stay on track especially since I know Kieran keeps me accountable to my goals so I can see how my work has paid off!

I like that it’s always different and interesting and I am always pushed to my limits which is good, when I think I can’t do it, but when I put my mind to it I manage to get it done.

Now I feel good, I’m healthy, I look forward to training and I’m thrilled that I am in shape for my wedding. My advice is do it, it will be the start of your new lifestyle.

There Is Nothing Standing Between Me and My Goals

I made the decision to start Personal Training because I wasn’t happy with myself, how I looked, how my clothes wouldn’t fit and how tired and exhausted I always felt. I really wasn’t happy at all. I started at a gym but got bored of doing the same routine, not knowing if what I was doing was right or wrong and I wasn’t seeing any results. A friend of mine who was getting great results recommended Personal Training. I didn’t want to be confined to a gym, so my friend recommended Kieran who trains out in the fresh air. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Before training I always felt lethargic and couldn’t be bothered to get up and do anything. I would always feel down which led to comfort eating and then I’d just feel more lethargic. It was a deadly spiral of self indulgence. I was apprehensive not knowing if I could keep up with the exercises. But once I met Kieran and had a chat about goals and expectations I felt much better. After every session I felt better about myself.

It became obvious to me that sitting around at home feeling sorry for myself wasn’t good enough. I have now regained control over my life and can change things if I had the strength and courage to overcome them. I’m fitter, stronger, have more energy and am now happy with myself, have more confidence, fit into nicer clothes and I was nicer to be around because I wasn’t so grumpy all the time!

I can control how I feel and how I look. I know that things don’t have to always stay the same. I know that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I’ve learnt that exercise makes me feel better, that I can push myself beyond any level I ever thought possible and that there is nothing standing between me and my goals. If you’re feeling down in the dumps, are unhappy with how you look and how you feel and you actually want to change that, get outside and get a Personal Trainer. I needed that person who knows what they are doing to push me to do my best. That person is Kieran.
