I Feel Like The Old Me Is On The Return

After having my son, I felt fat, flabby, tired and very cranky. I needed to shed the extra baby weight. Not only to look good and get back to my pre-baby body, but to feel healthier and have more energy to get through those sleepless nights. But most importantly, to feel like a normal person again.

Since starting training, my core muscles have gotten so much stronger, I have heaps more energy to get through the day and my legs and stomach are really starting to tighten up. I am so glad I made the time to start because when I exercise, I am so much more happier, I get less cranky and my patience with everybody is so much better.

I’ve learnt I am pretty determined and now I put my mind to it and achieve my goals. I’m starting to feel like the old me is on the return, the energetic loud person, instead of the quiet, tired old mum!

Don’t be afraid to take that first step, because once it is made, you won’t turn back. If you think you don’t have the time or energy your wrong, 1/2 hour out of a day is nothing. You will have more energy if you do exercise. And once you start eating healthy, your body will thank you (and hate you when you eat badly again). The endorphins released from exercising are well worth it.

“Jen you are just big boned” – Enough Was Enough

After hearing “Jen you are just big boned” for the last time, I decided enough was enough. I started swimming to try and tone my body and arms, build my stamina and increase my energy levels. I felt my arms were too soft, my thighs and calves were too big and my stomach needed some flattening. I was happy with my results at the start but found to get to my ultimate goal I needed the help of a professional.

A client of mine had told me to look Kieran up after witnessing his ass kickings by the water. Ass kicking was exactly what I needed and exactly what I got in PT form. Kieran took everything into account when he designed my sessions and what he came up with was brilliant. There is no easy way to get the body you want. You get out what you put in.

One of my sessions each week was boxing. I had done boxing with another trainer a while ago and thought it was boring and did more running than boxing anyway. Kieran taught me boxing in a simple to understand way that is the same as how boxers are taught. I loved it!

I feel so much more confident and empowered now! I have a great healthy diet and regular exercise program that gives me plenty of energy and I look and feel fantastic! Im still following Kieran’s advice 2 years later in Dubai. He made it fun and im still reaping the benefits ! I will never look back and will be forever greatful, you are the man KS !!!

I’m Over 60 And In The Best Shape Of My Life

Most of my adolescent and adult life I have been overweight and had became accustomed to being a size 18 in clothing.

Before I started with Kieran I didn’t have much direction. Although I was going to the gym regularly and participating in various exercise and walking regimes, I couldn’t shed the excess weight and I wasn’t improving my body shape. I seemed to be just plodding along.

I could never focus on the future and what lay ahead for me and absolutely hated doing any type of cardio work that got my heart rate up. It made me very negative.

Since training with Kieran I have achieved outstanding results. I feel healthier. I can do far more exercises such as push-ups than I ever could before and I can look ahead and plan for the future so I have clear goals and know what I will achieve.

Kieran is so motivational and has made me see that I can achieve great things and that age is no barrier. His ever changing exercise programs stay vibrant and never get stale or boring and his nutrition plans are laid out in black and white and are so simple to understand. He encouraged me not to just follow the plans but taught me so I can now make my own educated decisions.

This year I’m over 60, in a size 8 and I’m in the best shape of my life. Simply by following Kieran’s program I have much more definition and feel so much healthier than ever before.

I Feel Like I’m 20 Again

I needed to motivate myself and sort out my fitness, I was relying on a game of netball and a game of tennis a week and it wasn’t enough and both those were pretty sluggish because of lack of fitness and excess weight. I felt slow and unfit on the court and in general.

I used to walk by Kieran’s Training in a park by the water near my house and decided to do something about the way I felt. I started with Personal Training and soon after joined the Bootcamp as well. I love team sports and the fun of working with a group but also the one-on-one focus you get from PT.

My strength has improved beyond recognition, my weight is way down, my energy and fitness has definitely increased, I can last a whole game of netball with no problems and the fourth set in tennis fixtures doesn’t see me crawling around anymore! I feel like I’m 20 again.

I have learnt I can be a lot stronger than I thought and I can always more than I think. Kieran has had me achieve things I never thought possible. The mind games that used to hold me back are getting less, I find it easier and mor rewarding to get that extra bit done rather than just giving up.

Weather you’re thinking about Personal Training, Group Training or just getting out and doing your own thing, go for it, you never know until you try, I am so much stronger and fitter for it.

Healthy and Fit Forever

2 years after I became a stay at home mum I had my second child.  This was a tough time for me because mentally I was not coping with parenthood and felt ‘lost’ as a person.  I became a mum, nothing more. I started training with Kieran’s Fit Mum’s group because I was sick of feeling lethargic and it was time to make some changes.

At first, Redlands Fit Mum’s was an outlet for me.  I enjoyed the interaction with other mums and enjoyed the ‘outing’ but now it’s so much more. A few months later I joined Kieran’s Boot Camp on a Saturday morning and then more recently starting going to the Social Walking/Running Group, which I love. I can now say Exercise is Fun! I am proud of myself, and this is something that I have never really been able to say out loud.

My tummy area is where I struggle.  During my second pregnancy I had gestational diabetes and have to keep my core under control as I now have a greater risk of developing diabetes later in life. I took part in the 5km Fun Run as a member of the Kieran’s team.  I was proud to finish this in 30 mins and ran the whole course.  Then I took part in the another and ran 10 km’s under 55 mins which is a huge achievement for me, considering I have always maintained that I am not a runner.

My attitude towards exercise has completely changed.  I do it because I love it, it makes me feel good and I am certainly a better mum and wife as a result of it.  I have achieved things I never dreamed I could and have pushed myself to my limits. Prior to doing regular exercise I had a ‘can’t do’ attitude to most things fitness related.  I have proven that I can do anything.

I have completed a few half marathons, some triathlons, and even a full marathon now.

Kieran puts a lot of effort into helping his clients achieve their goals and I love that he has shown me exercise can be fun. I am constantly met with the “I couldn’t even run to the end of the block” or “I can’t even do one pushup”.  This was my attitude in the past, but it is amazing what you are capable of if you try.

Most importantly I have learnt that this is my lifestyle of choice – healthy and fit forever.
